The Plug: Artrepreneurship Series: Beauty of Business

The latest installment of our workshop series was the second event in our Artrepreneurship series. This time we focused on The Beauty of Business highlighting 4 women entrepreneurs with artistic discipline of cosmetology.

An informational yet visually stimulating conversation around what it means to be a successful business artist in the beauty industry. This event will be shaped around the classic and timeless gossip conversations that happen in the community of salons and barbershops.  WIth the intimacy and comfortability that hair salons and shops bring to all, we want to dive into the minds of influencers, owners and artists, to get an inside look at the balance of business, professionalism and artistry in this realm.

Taking place on Sunday, May 7th, at YO:U Salon as we highlighted Spifster, Yolanda Trejo, Nicky Horne, and Kesia King.

On July 16th, Colossal Creators hosted its second edition of The Plug at Graffiti Lounge. The plug is a quarterly networking event that merges corporate and creative millennials all under one roof. It offers unique environments that bring together creatives and young professionals to connect, express talents, and collaborate.

Each quarter we try to shine the spotlight on a different industry, providing guests to divulge in a one of kind experience that industry provides. For this version of The Plug we highlighted Anunna mixologist Greg Innocent (Beverage Director @The Bassment). Greg crafted some of his specialty cocktails while the guests were treated with curated introductions based on what you do or what you’d like to do.

Following the event we tapped one of our guests to provide you with their own assessment of the situation event, MISS TN KING.

After reactivating her blog, her first post went viral, inspiring passionate conversations around the topics of dating, self worth, and strength. Miss TN King's attendance at the last two Plug events have connected her with individuals and mentors that have helped her to make strategic decisions in growing and monetizing her business.
